Engagement Party - 7.24.10

Congratulations to the newly engaged couple! This engagement party took place on Saturday, July 24th at the home of the bride-to-be's parent's. The inspiration for the outdoor tent event was a lime green and purple color palette; something that was both fun and summery.

Two tents were utilized: a large one for the guest tables and dining area while a smaller one was used for the bar. The dining area was enhanced with a ceiling fabric treatment, coordinating tent pole fabric covers and specialty lighting (LEDs and sparkle lights). The bar tent also had coordinating tent pole fabric covers and hanging lanterns.

The effect? Simply magical when the sun went down and guests were celebrating with the soon-to-be married couple!

Raymond & Kim - 4.24.10

Raymond & Kim's wedding on April 24th was a celebration of their new life together. Their floral and decor, both at the ceremony and reception, spoke of true elegance! Varying shades of purple and ivory - with touches of green - were represented throughout their day.

The couple's reception, at The Woodward, featured a romantic candlescape with varying sized cylinder vases. Each cylinder contained a single floating candle. The cylinders were interconnected by natural curly willow, orchids and spray roses.

Mark & Becky - 4.17.10

Mark & Becky were married on April 17th at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The couple was inspired by a "fresh & organic" look, and thus all of their floral and decor reflected this theme!

Shades of green and white with navy accents comprised the couple's primary color palette. Touches of yellow were also worked into the bouquets. One great option for all flower girls is the flower wand... Beautiful, unique and fun!

Janelle & Shaun - 6.5.10

Shaun & Janelle were married on June 5th at the Mill Creek Barn in Watervliet, Michigan. The bride and groom were inspired by a color palette of clover green, crisp whites and soft yellows; creating a "rustic elegance" that played upon the natural setting of the Barn and its surrounding grounds.

The bark vase containers, the natural twine cocktail table tie backs, birch branches and white lanterns all contributed to the beautiful and unique "natural look" that the couple wanted. The result? A memorable evening for both the bride and groom and all of their family and friends!

Stanz Food Services... Under Construction!

Stanz Food Services holds their annual food show at the Century Center. This year, MichaelAngelos was given the task of turning the entrance and trade show area into a true construction site for the 2010 theme "Under Construction".

No construction item was left behind! From scaffolding to truss arches, construction cones and barrels to construction signs, to saw horses, tools, ladders, everything you would find on an actual construction site! There were even construction workers hard at work!

MichaelAngelos at Purdue!

Each year, Purdue University's College of Technology hosts their Distinguished Technology Alumni Awards in West Lafayette, IN. This year, MichaelAngelos was given the challenge of transforming and airplane hanger into an industrial technological event space.

Below are a few photos of the Niswonger Building's airplane hanger #1 turning into the awards dinner! The decor included an aircraft display, complete with a large truss and a klondike gold scrim to hang above the Purdue University plane, a stage with light boxes that changed colors throughout the evening, and industrial-style centerpieces that featured LED lights and pieces of metal in and around the silver and white design.

MichaelAngelos “The Event Company” takes the guesswork out of being a bride.

With services ranging from floral to décor to lighting, it’s a one-stop shop for couples planning to say, “I do.”

It also gives brides a chance to preview everything before the big day. Katie Bernacchi, wedding department manager, says they do a unique sample of each bride’s centerpiece and table setup with her chosen linens. She gets a preview of how it will look at the reception.

“And we always have a final appointment the day before the wedding,” she says. At that time, the bride can see her bouquet and all of the bridal party’s bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres. The bride can hold her bouquet in the mirror and make any last-minute changes if necessary.

“We like to say our philosophy for weddings is ‘no surprises,’” Bernacchi says. “She doesn’t have to worry about walking into the reception and not knowing what things are going to look like. She has seen everything by that point.”

MichaelAngelos can handle all the floral work for a wedding as well as anything that falls under the umbrella of décor—linens, candlescapes, custom fabric treatments, lighting such as customized monograms, foliage rental and even lounge atmospheres with furniture rentals. “We have a team of wedding specialists and a design team that works together to create a unique vision for each bride,” Bernacchi says.

The company also has a large inventory of themed props, such as “Alice in Wonderland,” from other types of events they have done. “Really the sky is the limit with what someone could want to do,” Bernacchi says.

MichaelAngelos has put together events across the nation and has done many weddings throughout the Midwest. Established in 1988 as a floral company, owner Michael Angelo Bernacchi quickly realized there was a need in the area for an event company and crafted his business to meet that need. “We’re not a retail shop,” Katie Bernacchi says. “We have two showrooms and when the brides come in, they have all of their appointments in the showroom.”

There is no minimum number of guests the company can accommodate and they can work with brides on a budget. “We do weddings from simple elegance all the way to the very extravagant,” Katie Bernacchi says.

Christina & Mo - 2.21.10

Christina and Mo were married on February 27th, with their ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and a garden-inspired reception at the Riverside Terrace. Christina loved natural, textured floral in shades of soft pink, blue and moss green.

The outcome was beautiful!! The moss green bichon linens were stunning inside Riverside Terrace's reception space, and the dark mahogany chivari chairs and silver candlestick vases added an elegant touch. It truly was a floral garden in February!

Anna & Jeff - 3.27.10

Anna and Jeff got married on March 13th at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart with an elegant reception at the stunning Palais Royale! While it was a rainy day, their wonderful, cheerful personalities lit up every room!

Anna chose a purple and blue color palette, featuring soft, romantic floral designs. Their cake was incredible, designed by Macri's Bakery with rows of blue and purple floral between the layers of cake. The photos below provide a sneak peak into this couple's beautiful wedding day!
